Position: Instrument and Control Systems Engineer
Location: Korea
Duration: 12 Months (Renewable)
 
Job Overview:
 
Seeking an Instrument and Control Systems Engineer to provide expertise in process instrumentation, custody measurement, and process control & automation for a significant project. The ideal candidate should possess experience in EPC project execution and FEED stage, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of Engineering and Construction, including field experience, and project management background.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Offer practical technical solutions to operational engineering challenges.
  • Assess technical competence and compliance of existing and potential manufacturers in the field.
  • Conduct technical studies on project-related issues and deliver reports and feedback to technical and management teams.
  • Review engineering design proposals for large-scale projects.
  • Develop engineering and design documentation, including procedures, standards, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as design engineers, operation engineers, and purchasers.
 
Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Process/Process Control Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in basic instrumentation and control principles covering flow, level, pressure, temperature, and process analysis.
  • Experience in instrument selection for various process applications.
  • Strong understanding of boiler control, process heater control, and process furnace control.
  • Familiarity with materials and material selection for in-line instrumentation.
  • Knowledgeable about electrical systems for instrumentation, including wiring methods, cabling, grounding, and hazardous area design.
  • Extensive knowledge of national and international standards, particularly ISA, ANSI, ASME, API, NFPA, and IEC.
  • Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD), with a mandatory foundation fieldbus proficiency.
