Arkstar Offshore Staff

A word from the staff of our client, Arkstar Offshore. 

The co-operation with Allianz Middle East, which commenced in September 2016, marked Arkstar Offshore’s first foray into Abu Dhabi and the team was looking forward to meet the challenges posed by this new venture.

It struck us that the requirements differ vastly in certain aspects despite us having prior experience operating within the Arabian Gulf. One of the more significant challenges was the additional certifications and medical examinations that the crews have to qualify for prior to acceptance by our end clients. The rigorous requirements meant that the team has to source, review and prepare for a new individual to join at least 2-3 weeks in advance should an existing member of our crew fail to return. 

We were fortunate to have Worldwide Recruitment Services (WRS) take on a portion of our manning responsibilities. Their prompt responses and experiences in sourcing for qualified crew within Abu Dhabi contributed immensely in ensuring that our crew capabilities and rotations are well met and exceeded the stringent requirements of our charterer. We were also extremely grateful to them when a member of our crew had to be signed-off on urgent basis and were met with some resistance from our charterer. WRS managed to resolve the disagreement with much ease and professionalism.
