Project
An existing client, with whom we had placed contracted personnel, contacted WRS in early 2016 to find a solution to their contract manpower requirements and associated mobilisation and HR services for 2 vessels –DP1 AHTS vessels in long-term charter for rig supply runs out of the Middle East. The vessels were in Singapore at that time, and were to be based out of the Middle East from August 2016 onwards. The client was receiving a sub-standard service from their existing supplier.
Challenge
WRS was tasked with achieving low attrition, more efficient recruitment processes and smooth on-boarding, as well as enhancing the company’s policies and procedures. This requires sourcing, deploying and mobilising 50+ multinational contractors around the world. All contractors required visas to work on the project location, as well as documentation checks and endorsements.
Outcome
WRS began assisting the client on these vessels in June 2016 and recruitment and mobilisation began in August 2016. Within 1 month the vessels had been mobilised with both new and existing seafarers. All crew now adhere to contract and certification regulations and have a strong relationship with a designated point of contact here at WRS. We now manage all crew rotations, contracts and documentation, taking considerable pressure away from the client.
