Assistant Superintendent Location: Fayetteville, NC
Project Type: Ground up Multifamily
Project Duration: 18 months (vertical construction begins March)
Compensation: $70,000 – $105,000 (DOE) + 10% Annual Bonus
Reports To: Lead Superintendent
About the Role We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented Assistant Superintendent to support field operations on a new 18 month multifamily project breaking vertical in March. This role is ideal for an early career construction professional with some multifamily experience and a strong desire to grow into a leadership role.
Upon completion of the project, the Assistant Superintendent should be open to relocating to future projects in the Charlotte or Raleigh markets. Company will provide relocation assistance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Lead Superintendent with daily on-site operations, scheduling, and coordination.
- Assist with subcontractor management, ensuring work aligns with project plans, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Monitor jobsite safety, enforce company and OSHA standards, and participate in safety meetings.
- Help track project progress, including daily reports, inspections, and documentation.
- Support quality control checks and help resolve field issues proactively.
- Coordinate with project management, engineers, inspectors, and vendors to maintain project momentum.
- Assist with punch list completion and project closeout.
Qualifications Required
- 1–3+ years of construction experience, preferably with ground up multifamily projects.
- Understanding of site logistics, construction sequences, subcontractor coordination, and safety protocols.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast paced field environment.
- Ability and willingness to travel or relocate for future projects after the Fayetteville project concludes.
Preferred
- Experience on at least one or two multifamily or similar ground up projects.
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software.
- Strong organizational skills, time management skills, and a proactive approach to problem solving.
