Job Title Business Development Manager
Compensation Competitive compensation package with fixed salary and performance based bonus and benefits

Responsible for the successful on-grid project development in SEA
• Manage the entire project development process from site selection or co-development to completion of power purchase agreements and reaching financial close for Solar Projects. Support projects until commercial operation date.
• Securing new project sites, scoping for potential power purchasers and behind the meter opportunities
• Development of effective strategies, procedures, templates and contracts to develop ongrid PV projects in SEA
• Strong Business development and project pipeline expansion focus.
• Management of project development consultants, project developers and co-development partners as well as international and local development stakeholders. Progressing the electrical interconnection study process, and pursuing various land entitlements including local, state and federal permitting.
• Conduct detailed assessments of sites and projects shortlisted for co-development or acquisition being mindful of economic, administrative, environmental, contractual and technical considerations.
• Present investment memorandums inputs and project exposés to the line manager and to Company's internal investment committee.
• Lead negotiations to finalize power purchase agreement terms; support the drafting and execution of final off-taker agreements. Provide leadership by managing project development meetings, coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure the efficient flow of material information, and maintaining project budgets
• Create presentations for senior management and executive team deal review committees seeking approval of significant capital investments.
• Develop and maintain necessary personal networks to stakeholders at different levels that effect the successful development of projects such as public authorities on local, regional and national level as well as environmental groups, industry associations, grid operators or service providers
• Regular reporting of project development status and project pipelines, budget responsibility on project basis
Candidate Profile
Minimum requirements -
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in from an accredited college or university
• 10 years of work experience in the Power sector.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Strong commercial mindset
• Good understanding of the renewable energy business
• Excellent oral and written communication
Preferred requirements -
• Exposure to the energy industry in a professional role
• Experience with PPAs
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing time demands
• Strong analytical skills
• Demonstrated financial modeling experience • Meticulous attention to detail
• Knowledge of finance and business concepts
• Fluency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat
• Solar industry experience
• Real Estate development experience
• experience in Energy Policy and/or Technology
• Understanding of utility regulatory environment
