Overview

Seeking an experienced Civil/Geotechnical Superintendent to provide consulting and field advisory support for civil, earthwork, and geotechnical projects at an industrial mining and processing facility. This role offers technical oversight, field leadership, and construction guidance to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant project execution.

Details: 

  • 12 month contract + 
  • 1.5x over 40 
  • On site role 

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise project teams on geotechnical risks, soil conditions, dewatering, compaction, and site constraints.
  • Review drawings, geotechnical reports, testing data, and construction plans for constructability.
  • Oversee daily earthwork, excavation, grading, foundation prep, and construction project activities. 
  • Conduct field inspections for quality, stability, drainage, and compliance with specifications.
  • Support QA/QC teams, resolve testing discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Enforce safety practices and ensure compliance with MSHA, environmental rules, and engineering standards.
  • Provide daily field updates, progress reports, and risk notifications to site leadership


Preferred

  • Background in mining, phosphate, or heavy industrial projects.
  • Familiarity with MSHA requirements.
