Are you an Electrical Engineer within the Renewable energy sector looking for a new challenge? 

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a French energy producer and service provider looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their team in Cape Town, South Africa.

You will be responsible for managing environmental aspects for the implementation of projects in South Africa.

Key Responsibilities;

• Technical support to projects in development, construction or operation (layout, sizing, Energy Yield Assessment, technical/cost analysis, electrical design, etc…) for internal and external clients.
• Providing competence on solar, wind and battery storage projects.
• Analysis of received technical information for a specific project (including RFP/RFQ and tenders) and evaluation of its impact in the electrical design of the project.
• Energy yield assessments using simulation software as PVsyst, following the rules and guidelines defined by the Solar Competence Centre.
• Analysis of the technical information or inputs given by the Power Systems team regarding Grid Code requirements, PoCC specifications and limitation, and grid support.

Essential Requirements;

• At least 5 years of experience working in electrical projects.
• Good skills in CAD tools and simulation tools (PVSys, WaSP, WindPRO).
• Master’s degree or Degree in Electrical/ Electrotechnical Engineering (preferred), graduated from recognised leading Engineering School
• Fluent in written and spoken English
