Cost Engineer
Job Location: Dubai
Job Summary:
WRS is seeking an experienced Cost Engineer to join a leading international energy company’s major project team, based in Dubai. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing cost-related activities, ensuring that the project stays on budget and schedule, and providing key advisory support to the project management team. This position offers the chance to work on a large-scale capital project that is crucial to meeting the region's growing energy demand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain cost reports, cash flow analyses, and contingency plans.
• Provide accurate cost estimates and administer change orders.
• Track and report on committed/spent funds, change alerts, project deviations, and field change orders.
• Ensure accurate cost representation in weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports.
• Liaise with the Human Resource Department to manage project-related office space costs.
• Assist in deriving realistic forecasts for project completion within budget and schedule.
• Monitor, analyse, and verify project costs monthly.
• Prepare and update Monthly Project Updates (MPU).

Requirements:

• Educational & Technical Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
  • 5-10 years of experience in the Cost Management field, with a minimum of 3 years on Saudi Aramco projects.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in desktop applications.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in mega capital projects is preferred.
