Are you looking for your next, new exciting project? Then we have just the role for you. WRS are looking for a Document Controller to start on the EACOP project. 

EACOP is a 1,443km crude oil export pipeline that will transport Uganda’s crude oil from Kabaale – Hoima in Uganda to the Chongoleani peninsula near Tanga port in Tanzania.

This project is looking to run over the next 3 years and is a fantastic opportunity to work on the longest heated pipeline in the world. 

This role
  • Right to work in the UK Required
  • Will Start in the London Offices, then move to Site in Tanzania 
  • 8 x 2 Rotational 
  • Mobilisation and Demobilisation Premium Economy Flights 
  • Field role, accommodation, food and amenities are all provided 
  • 5 Day working weeks 
  • 10 Hour days
Scope of Work
  • Direct liaison and relationship management with Client Document Control Manager.
  • Development and implementation of Document Control procedures and processes that meet the requirements of the client
  • Heading up kick off meetings for document control requirements for Contractors & Suppliers.
  • Reviewal of Contractor and Supplier MDRs to ensure consistency.
  • Reviewal of Contractor DC documentation on behalf of Client.
  • Development of written training manuals for all users of the EDMS.
  • Arrangement of training and support of the clients DCC team to ensure the EACOP projects’ documentation is appropriately issued, received and distributed.
  • Arranging and providing suitable training and support for all of the clients personnel that will use the EDMS.
  • Administration of EDMS for Client and Third-Parties (e.g. Suppliers, Contractors, project partners etc.) to allow the organisations to meet our Project procedures for Document Control.
  • Arranging and providing suitable training and support for all Third-Party personnel that will use the EDMS (Aconex)
  • Coordinating all activities related to the document control process and procedures including technical documents, drawings, and commercial correspondence.
  • Inputting document data into document control system ensuring that the information is accurate and up to date.
  • Managing document submission and return process across the Engineering & Consultancy Services.
  • Managing, maintaining and enhancing document management application.
  • Assist management with pulling reports from Aconex.
  • Engaging with Client, Contractors, Suppliers and the clients team members when they require assistance with Aconex.
  • Processing MDR change requests.
Requirements 
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in Engineering and Consultancy based EPCm Document Control role
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Lead Document Controller
  • Recent experience working on multi-billion-dollar construction projects required.
  • Experience working in East Africa desirable.
  • Confidence in heading up meetings and presenting is a must.
  • Experience with large scale Document Control software is required, Aconex is highly desirable.
  • Proven accuracy, reliability with a conscientious work ethic.
  • Must be details oriented and highly organised.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Working knowledge of MS office tools and experience with PDF software is required.
