Drilling Equipment Forecasting Analyst

Our client is an internationally renowned Oil & Gas operator that is looking to recruit a Drilling Equipment Forecasting Analyst on a 3-year contract basis to work out of Qatar.

Job Purpose
·With the planned ramp-up to 12-rig operation, dedicated staff required to support the Drilling & Completions Department, to track equipment orders and place new, track equipment consumption, and drive critical logistics management.
·The candidate who fills this position will be a key interface for D&C Engineering with the Supply, Finance, Operations, and Logistics organizations.

Job Context & Major Challenges
·Effectively forecasting long-lead equipment availability versus consumption to ensure business continuity
·Ensure forecasting strategy is synchronized with actual operations consumption basis
·Manage procurement & equipment schedules to identify, assess, and remediate actual slippages versus plan

Key Job Accountabilities
•Strategically forecast upcoming orders needs based on rig schedule & stock
•Manage Project to Project transfer process for stock balances and recognize shortfalls
•Drive the procurement of replacement stock with minimal oversight from engineering & operations
•Recognize imbalances between equipment consumption plan versus actuals and recalibrate ordering forecasts
•Serve as interface between D&C Engineering and inventory procurement / management functions (Supply, Shore base, Operations)
•Develop tracking tools to identify key delivery timelines & follow up with vendors as required
•Interface with key vendors to drive procurement efficiency & address deliverability concerns

Minimum Requirements
•Bachelor's Degree from an accredited and recognized university.
•Minimum 5 years of Logistics / Supply Chain experience; Prior experience working with Drilling & Completions related business units is strongly preferred
•Multi-rig / platform logistics management experience required
•Knowledge and familiarity of offshore operations and key roles with offshore logistics
•Experience with inventory management systems
•Able to communicate with vendors on equipment needs & service support needs
•Strong verbal and written skills in English
