Estimator
Location: Madrid, Spain
Project Name: Jafurah Gas Compression Project – Phase 3

WRS are looking for an Estimator to join a major Operator on the 3rd Phase of the Jafurah Gas Compression Project based out of the Madrid office. 

Job Purpose:
We seek an experienced Estimator to provide professional advice and prepare capital cost estimates for large-scale petrochemical and oil & gas projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed project cost estimates for design, procurement, and construction.
• Formulate methodologies for deriving quantities from design parameters.
• Prepare and validate estimates for capital expenditure and construction costs.
• Determine estimate contingencies based on project risks.
• Benchmark estimates against historical data and industry norms.
• Review and prepare Change Order estimates.
• Act as a cost consultant for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure estimating systems and tools are up to date and confidential.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
• 10-15 years of estimating experience, with at least 5 years in petrochemical, refinery, pipeline, or power generation projects.
• Proficient in Excel; familiarity with K Base is a plus.
• Strong relationship-building skills with vendors and contractors.
• Experience with international projects and cultures is preferred.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Preferred Candidates: Eligible to work in Spain. Experience with large-scale energy projects is preferred.
