Exploitation Advisor

A leading worldwide Oil & Gas operator is looking to recruit an Exploitation Advisor on a long-term contract / consultant basis in Algeria

Responsibilities
·Supports and trains the staff and provides advice in best practices in all area of the operation.
·Proactively assist in the preparation of shutdown planning and logistics.
·Help to identify opportunities for continuous improvements through to the implementation phase and close out of the tasks.
·Provide guidance in reviewing, developing and revising procedures to current state of operations.
·Follow through with the close out of regulatory compliance action items before the year 2020 which includes numerous HSE and Process Safety related action items that have been assigned to this position.
·Liaise with other departments and management to determine best practices approach to challenges.
·Assist in the proactive management of the work permit system, risk assessment and process trip reviews and incident evaluation and be able to provide assistance in incident control as needed (HAZWHOPPER training is a plus).

Required Experience:
·Bachelors of Science in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
·Practical knowledge of and experience with the following:
oPermit to work systems; process safety management; risk assessments; process trip investigations; management of change; operational procedure review and updating
oDistributive and integrated control and safety system operation
oHMI operator interfaces and fire and gas safety system philosophies in plan operations
oPipeline management; produced water treatment; water injection including chemical treatment, high voltage electrical power generation; plant utilities including air, water and nitrogen; reverse osmosis operation
oGas and liquid measurement and allocation
oExperienced in application and operation of standards and procedures related to Process Safety Management facilities.

Additional Requirements
·The candidates will need demonstrate they are capable of taking a lead role in leadership development and process training.
·Ability to work in a culturally diverse, remote and challenging environment.
·Individual must have experience of building and managing effective teams.
·Self-starter capable of effectively analysing and solving problems.
·Demonstrable knowledge of Safety Standards and Permit to Work controls.
·Strong communication skills (both oral and written).
·French and/or Arabic language skills would be an advantage.
