WRS are currently hiring a Financial Controller. 

Responsibilities will include:

Preparation of accounts
- Ensure the preparation of timely and accurate monthly consolidated management accounts and reports for operational management
- Ensure preparation of monthly variance analysis of Directors
- Responsibility for all journals and final GL balances including review of month end balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Group’s accounting records and financial systems
- Ensure local subsidiary accounts are being prepared in a timely manner to facilitate group consolidation in line with deadlines
- Ensure production of statutory accounts for the Group and its various subsidiary companies as and when required in accordance with the relevant accounting principles and the legislation of the countries in which they operate

Budgets and forecasts
- Preparation of budgets, forecasts and business plans and continued monitoring & reviewing of performance against them to enable robust reporting of variances Directors and third party stakeholders

Financial management & controls
- Effectively manage the working capital components of the Group with specific attention to debtors, invoicing processing and invoice discounting
- Effective management of cash flow, including ownership of rolling 12 week cash flow, weekly headroom monitoring, and review and approval of cash drawdown from facility
- Develop control environment of overseas subsidiaries and ensure compliance through regular monitoring and review
- Active management of overheads while seeking out areas for efficiencies for savings
- Overseeing monthly processing of payroll and payments to internal employees
- Review and update, in line with good practice, the Group’s internal control environment and produce a Controls and Procedures manual for review and adoption by management
- Play an active role in assisting management in the risk assessment process and embedding a risk management culture throughout the organisation

- Support the Finance Director in the development and execution of the Group’s taxation strategy
- Ensure returns for Corporation tax, VAT, and other relevant taxes are submitted, payments made on time and all relevant regulations are complied with

Information technology
- To take a lead role in the implementation of the proposed upgrade to the accounting system
- Support Finance Director in development and implementation of system generated reports, to facilitate strategic planning

- Effectively manage, motivate, and develop the Finance dept
- Supervise & review performance of individuals in the team
- Implementation of a change in management culture by challenging & replacing established processes and procedures where necessary
- Liaise with different departments to ensure the Finance dept is properly supporting the needs of the business

- Carry out any further tasks for which your qualifications & experience are suited, as directed by the Company
