On behalf of a major Oil & Gas operator, WRS is looking for a Fluids and Cement Superintendent to work in Algeria on a contract, rotational basis. This will be a 12 month renewable contract, rotating 28/28 in Algeria, paying a day rate.

On behalf of a major Oil & Gas operator, WRS is looking for a Fluids and Cement Superintendent to work in Algeria on a contract, rotational basis. This will be a 12 month renewable contract, rotating 28/28 in Algeria, paying a day rate.
Job duties
- Responsible for drafting the detailed drilling fluid, cementing and wastes program
- Responsible for recommendations for the choice of fluids, cuttings treatment techniques and cement formulations.
- Responsible for drafting the technical annexes of the various calls for tender and evaluation grids.
- Involved in improving drilling performance, optimizing costs by proposing innovative solutions for the choice of muds and cement formulations.
- Supports cost analyses and prepares budget forecasts associated with fluids.
- Contributes to the training of junior engineers, by passing on his experience and know-how
- Assists the Drilling-Wells Manager and the Superintendent in preparing the drilling and completion campaign as well as the rigless operation campaigns (perforations, hydraulic fracturing, tests).
- Coordinates with the D&W team the preparation of operations (choice of drilling fluids, cementing, treatment of cuttings, compliance with regulations, drafting of procedures)
- Supervise critical operations on site (cementing of the production casing)
- Ensure the QA / QC of daily fluids reports and cement job reports as well as track the associated operational costs.
- Review and evaluate the service providers performance
- Mandatory: fluent in English (spoken and written), fluent in French (spoken and written)
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience - WBM and NABM systems.
- Diploma (Bachelor or University diploma or Higher Technical diploma).
- Previous experience working for an Oil & Gas operator
- Previous experience in Algeria ideal
