Instrumentation & Control Engineer
Location: Madrid
Duration: 12-Month Renewable Contract

We are Seeking an experienced engineer specialising in Process Instrumentation, Custody Measurement (based on project needs) and Process Control & Automation to support a major project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop practical technical solutions for operational challenges.
  • Assess manufacturers for technical competence and compliance.
  • Conduct technical studies on project-related issues and provide reports for management.
  • Review and refine engineering and design proposals.
  • Prepare and update engineering documentation, including procedures, standards, and specifications.
  • Experience with HAZOP/SIL and knowledge of IEC 61511.
Educational & Technical Requirements:
  • BSc in Electrical, Mechanical, Process, or Process Control Engineering.
  • 10-15 years in instrument and control engineering within the oil, gas, or petrochemical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation and control systems: flow, level, pressure, temperature, and process analysis.
  • Proven experience in instrument selection for process applications.
  • Expertise in boiler, heater, and furnace control per project requirements.
  • Proficient in material selection for in-line instrumentation.
  • Familiar with electrical systems for instrumentation, including cabling, wiring, grounding, and control circuits. Experience with hazardous area design is essential.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
