Instrumentation and Control Engineer
Rome
12-Month Renewable Contract

 
Seeking an engineer with expertise in Process Instrumentation, Custody Measurement (project-dependent), and Process Control & Automation to support a major project.
 
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Develop practical solutions to engineering challenges.
  • Assess manufacturers for technical competence and compliance.
  • Conduct technical studies on project issues and provide reports for management.
  • Review and enhance engineering and design proposals.
  • Prepare and update engineering documentation, including procedures, standards, and specifications.
Requirements:
  • BSc in Electrical, Mechanical, Process, or Process Control Engineering.
  • 10-15 years of experience in instrument and control engineering in the oil, gas, or petrochemical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation and control systems: flow, level, pressure, temperature, and process analysis.
  • Proven experience in instrument selection for process applications.
  • Expertise in boiler, heater, and furnace control per project needs.
  • Proficient in material selection for in-line instrumentation.
  • Familiar with electrical systems for instrumentation, including cabling, wiring, grounding, and control circuits. Experience with hazardous area design required.
  • Experience with project control systems (PCS) and final acceptance testing (FAT).
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
