Instrumentation Engineer – Paris

Location: Paris, France (Residential)
Contract Type: 6-Month Renewable Contract
Compensation: All-Inclusive Day Rate (Paid in Euros, subject to local French taxation)

Position Overview

WRS are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer to support a major LNG engineering project from a Paris-based execution office. The role focuses on instrumentation engineering coordination, technical review, and interface management with international engineering centres. This position suits a detail-oriented instrumentation specialist with strong knowledge of industry standards, instrumentation equipment, and installation practices, capable of working within a structured EPC project environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor instrumentation engineering activities executed by international engineering centres.
  • Review and comment on instrumentation deliverables to ensure technical accuracy, quality, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Interface with engineering teams to ensure alignment with schedules, priorities, and technical standards.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable international codes and standards (API, IEC, ISA, ASME, etc.).
  • Review instrumentation equipment specifications including flow meters, control valves, on/off valves, and safety valves.
  • Support instrumentation installation engineering, including cable routing, cable trays, hook-ups, and level studies.
  • Ensure all documentation meets required quality standards for content, accuracy, and presentation.
  • Apply project QA/QC procedures and industry best practices throughout all engineering activities.
  • Use engineering software tools to review, comment on, and manage technical documentation.

Candidate Profile

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Control Engineering.
  • Strong experience in instrumentation engineering within large EPC or LNG projects.
  • Solid understanding of instrumentation equipment, installation practices, and engineering workflows.
  • Proficient in industry codes and standards (API, IEC, ISA, ASME).
  • Right to work in France
  • Experience using Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) as a user.
  • Competent with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and PDF review tools.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent technical review and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a structured, fast-paced engineering environment.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
