On behalf of a major operator, WRS is looking for a Competent person for Lifting Operations to work on a residential basis in Italy on a 1 year contract. 

Scope of work:

• Define the HSE requirement for lifting activities;
• Promote HSE Culture in order to prevent and reduce lifting incidents;
• Review Lifting HSE statistics on quarterly basis
• Perform the Lifting High Potential Incidents analysis and ensure action plans are implemented;
• Participate in Lifting Accident and Incident investigations as required (Origin, cause tree analysis, corrective action deployment);
• Implement the Lifting KPI system
• Provide technical assistance to all métiers (Drilling and Workover, Production, Logistics, Construction, Maintenance and Inspection) for the lifting operations, personnel and equipment;
• Provide technical support during procurement or hire of lifting equipment or lifting service providers;
• Review and approve Critical Lifting Plans and attend the lift when required or ensure suitable delegation for supervision;
• Provide lifting expertise advice to the team and also to the project Managers, organize and carry out lifting reviews and audits for each sites and/or contractors on yearly basis;

Experience:

• Worked in onshore operations (inshore and offshore operations experience is desirable)
• Have working profile such as: Rigger; Rigger Foreman; Rigging Supervisor; Lifting Supervisor; Lifting Superintendent; Site Lifting Specialist
• Experience in training and coaching
• Supervision of critical lifts
• Experienced in Oil and Gas Industry
• Minimum 10 Years’ experience in ashore and onshore lifting operations at Superintendent/Management level. Inshore and offshore or subsea lifting operations at the same level is added advantage

Qualifications:

• Technical Engineer and / or Industry related qualifications such as LEEA / EAL / OPITO / CPA etc.
• Competent Assessor (9DI)
• Lifting equipment inspector for:

• General Lifting Equipment
• All types of Cranes
• Containers & CCU’s
• Forklift trucks and stackers
• Winches and powered hoists
• Overhead travelling cranes, runway beams and swing jibs
