Marine Manager
Job description
WRS are looking for a Malaysian Resident Marine Manager to start with our client on a permanent basis. Working on clients Tender Assisted Drilling Rigs;
Job Spec;
-Overseeing the Marine Department
-Prepares and reviews marine procedures.
-Prepares and reviews planned maintenance.
-Prepares rig move and anchor handling procedures, reviews the mooring analysis of each unit
-May be required to take on the role of rig mover and coordinate Marine Rig Move Operations.
-Performs interviews of prospective Rig Movers, Barge Engineers and Ballast Control Operators.
-Ensures rig compliance to statutory surveys and certification
-Ensures insurance requirements and renewals are for fleet are met
-Reviews the Stability calculations of the various units on a regular basis to ensure proper compliance with stability requirements as laid down in the Marine Operations Manual.
-Attends drills and training in scenario response consistent with the Onshore Contingency and Emergency Manual requirements.
-Produces and/or reviews the Marine procedures and ensure that these are updated as required.
-Undertakes audits and inspections as per company’s audit and inspection procedures.
Candidate should fulfil the following:
-Minimum of 10 years of experience in Oil and Gas industry preferably with Flat Bottom Tender Assist Drilling Experience
-Minimum of 10 years offshore experience on mobile offshore drilling unit in a supervisory capacity
-Must have at least 5 years’ experience as Rig mover/ Marine Superintendent
-Experience with Hands on Anchor Handling, Ship manoeuvring
Familiar with Ballast Control and Heavy Lift operations
-Fluent in English & Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
