Marshalling & Logistics Lead – Paris
WRS are looking for an experienced Marshalling & Logistics Lead to oversee logistics operations for offshore wind projects across Europe. You will manage marshalling and short-haul logistics for key project components, including substructures, inter-array cables, and wind turbine generators. This role is based in Paris and involves occasional travel to Germany and other European locations.
The role will be offered on a 12 month renewable contract, paying a day rate in Euros.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement logistics and marshalling yard strategies.
- Manage logistics activities from fabrication sites in Europe/Asia to installation locations.
- Select and prepare marshalling ports/yards to meet project requirements.
- Coordinate load-in/out, lifting operations, handling, and storage of offshore wind components.
- Oversee vessel movements and ensure efficient port service utilization.
- Lead contractor selection and contract negotiations for logistics services.
- Conduct safety audits, enforce HSE policies, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including shipping records, customs documents, and logistics reports.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including contractors, port authorities, and local authorities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, marine logistics, or relevant field.
- 10+ years’ experience in offshore wind, oil & energy, or marine logistics.
- Right to work in the EU
- Strong expertise in marshalling operations, port selection, and logistics strategy.
- Proven experience in international tenders, freight logistics, and contractor management.
- Knowledge of lifting operations, logistics software, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Fluency in English is required; German is a plus.
- Certification in lifting operations or prior experience with HSE standards is advantageous.
