Mechanical Engineer
Location: Rome
Duration: 12-Month Renewable Contract

Job Overview

Oversee vendor technical evaluations and ensure compliance with company standards for rotating equipment, including compressors, pumps, and gas turbines.

Key Responsibilities

Review datasheets and documentation for rotating equipment.
Participate in technical clarification meetings with vendors.
Design and implement modifications to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop project specifications.
Evaluate and test theoretical designs.
Address complex engineering challenges with suppliers, subcontractors, and customers.
Manage projects using engineering principles and design techniques.
Plan and design new production processes.
Prepare specifications and design outlines.
Recommend improvements based on prototype testing.
Apply research, analysis, and design skills, including CAD and mathematical modeling.
Consider cost, safety, and timing constraints in decision-making.
Monitor and commission plant systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
10-15 years of experience in Oil & Gas or petrochemical projects
