Position Overview The Senior Project Manager will oversee all phases of a major data center project, from preconstruction through commissioning. The role requires deep knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems, strong leadership, and the ability to manage large budgets, schedules, and teams on fast-paced, mission-critical projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of large mechanical and HVAC projects
- Oversee budgeting, scheduling, submittals, procurement, and installation activities
- Collaborate with general contractors, engineers, and owners to ensure successful delivery
- Manage field teams and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
- Drive cost control, forecasting, and change management
- Mentor project engineers and junior project managers
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical construction project management
- Proven success managing data center or mission-critical mechanical projects
- Strong understanding of HVAC, piping, and mechanical systems design and installation
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam)
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $100,000 – $180,000 (commensurate with experience)
