Working for a Leading Food Manufacturer
Working days you will provide engineering resource in carrying out planned maintenance, breakdown repairs, refurbishment, installation, improvements and modifications or upgrade to plant and services in order to maximise plant performance and maintain equipment to the required standard supporting C.I. and P.M.
This is a varied engineering role that will suit a truly multi skilled engineer who has a proactive problem solving mind-set. To develop our current P.M. system and implement to suit our new 24/7 running
*To provide engineering resource in carrying out planned maintenance, breakdown repairs, refurbishment, installation, improvements and modifications or upgrade to plant and services in order to maximise plant performance and maintain equipment to the required standard
To work on C.I. projects support C.I.team
*To improve plant availability, life cycle costs and efficiency
*To carry out all engineering work to a high Engineering, Quality, Safety and Hygiene standards
*To help support the engineering function in moving to World Class standard in maintenance standards in line with audits and benchmarking
*To provide full Technical Engineering support to production function under the leadership of the Area Engineering Managers and by working as part of a multi-functional team
*To understand and contribute to achieving the goals of the Factory by efficiently carrying out any assigned Engineering task
*The company produces a variety of products to meet customer needs .The daily focus for everyone, needs to be on achieving the daily requirements right first time, in a safe factory environment at an improved ongoing cost.
*Engineering Technicians will work effectively with others as part of a team who together possess all the skills to convert product on an hour by hour basis complying with quality, safety and any other legislative requirements.
Skills & Experience
*Formal engineering qualification to at least City & Guilds level, NVQ level 3 or equivalent in an electrical and mechanical discipline with corresponding practical experience
*Electrical and Mechanical maintenance experience
* Experience gained within a food manufacturing environment with a food hygiene qualification would be preferred however strong engineers from any fast paced manufacturing environment will be considered.
*Full understanding of safe working practices and relevant legislation where applicable
* Experience of generic engineering equipment is essential, pneumatics, Rockwell Allen Bradley PLCs, Electrical components, Mechanical components.
*Needs the ability to clearly understand engineering drawings, symbols and notation.
* Experience of computerised maintenance management system such as SAP.
* Experience of continuous improvement techniques and implementation.
