Offshore Structural FEA Engineer

12-Month Contract

Responsibilities

  • Conduct structural analysis using Finite Element software (ABAQUS/ANSYS).
  • Perform detailed stress analysis of offshore structures.
  • Utilise structural analysis tools (SACS, STAAD, GT-STRUDL).
  • Execute design calculations per industry codes (DNV GL, API, AISC, EC, Norsok).
  • Review and approve structural drawings.
  • Prepare high-quality design reports and maintain records.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Requirements

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work within a team.
  • Experience in offshore structure design (oil & gas/wind).
  • Knowledge of offshore wind foundation design practices.
  • Familiarity with offshore wind regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Understanding of fatigue assessment methods (time domain, spectral, deterministic).
  • Experience with advanced structural problem-solving techniques.
  • Programming skills (Python, C++) are a plus.
