Offshore Wind Consents Manager

At WRS we are representing a UK leader in renewables developments and they are looking for a Offshore Wind Consents Manager to join their team in Stirling, Scotland. 

Main duties:

  • Working with the Senior Development Manager and other team members to manage offshore consenting, compliance and environmental risks during the development (EIA) phase;
  • Implement and update the consenting strategy, delivering on key milestones and to budget;
  • Ensure effective contribution to Budget, Programme, Risk Register processes as directed by Senior Development Manager;
  • Ensure key project Development documentation including commitments register, budget trackers, risk register and programme are kept up to date;
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance on consenting approaches and compliance issues to the team and the Project;
  • Production of workscopes and specification for delivery at all stages of the project as necessary and manage the completion of these on time and on budget;
  • Working closely with Grid Manager and interface on Grid connection discussions

Your experience:

  • At least 3-5 years in the OW industry with a clear focus on project consenting and development, taking projects through the consenting process
  • Knowledge and experience of offshore consenting requirements in Scotland for an offshore wind farm  
  • Relevant development experience within multidisciplinary environment
  • Ability to translate technical detail into commercial impact
  • Strong planning and analysis skills with the ability to look forward and anticipate problems and thereafter plan and implement mitigation solutions
  • Proven ability to select and manage external consultants and subject specialists for consenting activities
