Production Manager

About the role:
As Production Manager, you will lead the production department to ensure the timely delivery of the specified products that consistently meet customer expectation. You will own the entire process from raw material to finished goods, ensuring that the highest quality products are safely, cost effectively and efficiently produced, whilst leading continuous improvement activities to increase capacity and productivity in line with customer demand and company expectations.

Main duties:
Plan and organise production activities to ensure all deliveries are made on time, to include the assessment of all project and resource requirements
Manage, support and motivate the team to ensure all targets are met
Plan staffing requirements and shift patterns in line with production targets and demand
Manage machinery use, service and repair
Estimate, negotiate and agree budgets and timescales with clients and internal staff, and re-negotiate timescales or schedules as necessary
Implement and manage budgetary controls
Ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times
Manage FactoryMaster' software
Monitor production schedules and adjust them if problems occur
Ensure all material stock is sufficient and replenished in a timely manner - selecting, ordering and purchasing materials when required
Forge and maintain relationships with all stakeholders, including buyers and the sales team
Produce reports and statistics for senior managers
Adhere to HR policies and practices at all times
Ensure any learning needs are identified and developed
Organise the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment
Set and enforce all quality control standards
Carry out any other duties that may be considered relevant to the position within the terms of your contract of employment.
