Project Engineer

On behalf of a major oil and gas operator, WRS are looking for a Project Engineer to work in Algeria on a contract, rotational basis. This will be a 12 month renewable contract on a 28/28 rotation, paying a day rate in USD.

Job Duties include

• Managing a portfolio of mechanical / pipeline/ / structural modifications.
• Identifying material requirements, initiate and follow-up of procurement
• Facilitating assessments for Design and Construction.
• Interfacing with Technical Authorities on Scope of Requirement and Technical Standards.
• Interfacing with E&P contractor, coinstruction teams

Ideal Candidate will have 

• Degree in engineering
• Minimum of 5 years experience as an engineer within mechanical, instrument or electrical discipline in the gas / oil industry
• Minimum of 4 years experience in project engineering and execution
• Working knowledge of the standards, design, construction, operation and maintenance for the systems and equipment used in the industry.
  Project and operations planning principles and systems
• Fluency in English, knowledge of French would be preferrable
• Previous experience in remote, desert environments (Algeria experience preferrable)
