Project Manager – Irrigation & Landscape Field Operations Company: CrossPoint Landscape

Position Summary The Project Manager supports daily field operations with a heavy focus on irrigation permitting, site coordination, and ensuring commercial landscape projects move smoothly from start to finish. This role works closely with superintendents, municipalities, general contractors, and field crews to keep schedules, inspections, and compliance on track.

Key Responsibilities Permitting & Municipal Coordination

  • Prepare, submit, and track irrigation permits across multiple municipalities.
  • Schedule irrigation inspections and coordinate directly with city inspectors.
  • Ensure all irrigation plans, backflow certifications, and as-builts meet local codes.
  • Maintain updated databases/logs of active permits and inspection status.

Field Project Coordination

  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor landscape and irrigation progress.
  • Support field supervisors with scheduling crews, deliveries, and subcontractors.
  • Verify work is installed per plans, specifications, and GC expectations.
  • Trouble-shoot field issues, escalate delays, and help resolve technical questions.
  • Assist superintendents with punch lists, reinspection needs, and close-out tasks.

Project Administration

  • Assist with procurement of materials related to irrigation and landscape scopes.
  • Maintain project documentation, daily logs, inspection reports, and municipal correspondence.
  • Communicate schedule impacts, permit status, and site conditions to internal teams and GCs.
  • Track change order needs related to permitting delays or design adjustments.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure irrigation start-ups, backflow tests, and controller programming are completed correctly.
  • Confirm landscape and irrigation installations comply with city requirements and water restrictions.
  • Help maintain CrossPoint’s safety standards on all job sites.

Qualifications

  • Experience in commercial landscape or irrigation construction (field or office).
  • Strong understanding of municipal permitting processes for irrigation.
  • Ability to interpret irrigation plans, schematics, and landscape drawings.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; strong follow-up habits.
  • Comfortable working in the field daily and visiting multiple job sites.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to work in outdoor conditions.

Preferred

  • Prior experience handling irrigation permitting for cities in Texas (or region-specific).
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Irrigation technician or irrigator license (a plus, not required).

Working Environment

  • Primarily field-based with regular visits to active construction sites.
  • Moderate office/administrative work for permitting and documentation.
