The Client and Projects
This well-established Building Main Contractor has an enviable reputation throughout its global offices in the UK and Europe. The Midlands and East Anglia region has secured this year's projected turnover and has a strong pipeline of projects for the remainder of 2016.
These projects include complex and challenging schemes in the Healthcare, Science and Education sectors predominantly based on NEC form of contract.

Based in Cambridge and reporting into a Contracts Manager the Senior Project Manager will ensure that contracts are completed to the full satisfaction of clients in relation to both the quality and costs (and within the programmed time). Additionally you will develop the relationship and performance of the workforce under his/her control, attain profitable execution of the work and represent the Company where necessary in dealing with clients and their agents, professional staff and sub-contractors.

Suitable Applicants
- Will come from a Main Contractor and have proven experience in the Building Construction sector
- Have successfully managed and delivered projects as a number one Project Manager at £20m
- Progressed through the ranks and already be operating at Senior Project Management level
- Ideally possess a degree AND / OR Chartership with MCIOB / MAPM
- Be familiar with the NEC suite of contracts
- Be able to demonstrate some previous experience in Pre-Construction and bidding (ideally 2-stage bids)

Key Duties
- Be the number one person on the project and develop a successful team ethic on site.
- Liaise with the Client and their advisors to fully understand their needs and expectations.
- Apply the performance management procedures for direct reports in the site team.
- Produce the Contract Programme, short term programmes, as built programmes and monitor / report progress as required.
- Be responsible for instructing and co-ordinating Designers, Technical Consultants and Sub-contractors during the contract period.
- Where necessary, lead the pre-construction team through the tender period
- Assist in the preparation of submission/presentation documentation

Salary and Package
The client is paying from £68k - £75k basic + car or allowance, pension, healthcare, performance bonus and excellent scope to progress…
