QA/QC Lead – FPSO Upgrade Project (China)
Location: Jiangsu Province, China
Project: Katlan FPSO Upgrade – Out of Country Construction Team
A major FPSO upgrade project is seeking a QA/QC Lead to join an integrated construction supervision team based in Jiangsu, China. The role will act as a Company representative at the fabrication yard, ensuring the contractor meets quality and compliance requirements in line with project specifications, codes, and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and approve Contractor Quality Management System (QMS) and Quality Plans.
- Monitor implementation of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and project-specific quality requirements.
- Review and manage audit schedules, reports, and NCRs; lead Company audits as required.
- Maintain compliance with Company quality procedures and documentation systems (e.g., Viewpoint).
- Oversee field inspections, RFIs, and QC documentation including WPS, PQR, NDT, PWHT, and hydrotest procedures.
- Ensure proper material storage, preservation, calibration, and traceability of quality records.
- Track punch list progress and ensure QA/QC completion during final handover.
- Interface directly with Contractor Quality Management and report to the Site QA/QC Lead.
- Support HSE leadership and uphold high standards of safety and quality across all activities.
Requirements:
- Extensive QA/QC experience on large-scale oil & gas or FPSO projects.
- Strong working knowledge of fabrication yard operations and international standards (e.g., ISO, ASME, API).
- Previous experience in China or working on overseas EPC construction sites preferred.
- Strong documentation, coordination, and auditing skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work in a multicultural team environment.
