Quality Manager - Germany, Spain, Greece, Poland (remote)

Are you interested in working as a Quality Manager within the renewable sector? Then this could be the role for you.

I am working on behalf of one of the world’s leading companies in the renewable energy space in Europe and Australia, with an extensive offshore and onshore wind, solar, hydrogen, batteries and biomass portfolio.

They are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to join their team remotely in either Germany, Spain, Greece or Poland (remote work with site visits) and to support their European and Australian onshore renewables projects with a focus on solar projects. The successful candidate will have significant experience of the complete project lifecycle of large infrastructure projects (priority PV, electrical or wind industry) and has delivered at least one major project in a quality role.

Responsibilities
  • Definition of the project-related quality strategies in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and 10006:2017
  • Setting up and implementation of concepts, processes and methods for quality planning, assurance and control for onshore projects from concept to handover to end client as per our Directive and contacts
  • Planning and managing current and new risk based detailed quality assurance and control activities for the assigned project(s), including coordination of external quality resources and the related budgets.
  • Travel to FAT and construction sites for some inspections expected
  • Manage contractors performance, quality reporting, escalating and dispute resolution for Quality
  • Assessing non-conformities, deviations, clarifying causes and follow up with suppliers
  • Negotiate Quality Assurance Agreements with potential suppliers
  • Acting as (Lead) Auditor for quality audits acc. ISO 19011:2018 on our supply chain
Qualifications
  • A successfully completed university degree in engineering (mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or in a comparable field) and qualifications as a Quality Auditor and/or Quality Manager or comparable, obtained by a professional body such as the EOQ or the CQI
  • Practical experience from the PV, electrical or wind, construction and/or manufacturing industry and knowledge of installation techniques and methodologies
  • Extensive experience in setting up and maintaining resource plans and budgets
  • Skills and experience in writing (quality) specification and negotiating them with major contractors and experience in assessing, managing and where necessary improving supplier performance
  • Problem solving work management skills
  • Knowledge of the industry and its norms and standards and you will be able to use root cause analysis and auditing techniques to identify and remedy issues such as serial defects
  • Good knowledge and network in the solar industry - mainly South Europe will be advantageous
  • Business level fluency in Italian, French or Spanish is mandatory. Business level fluency in English
