This is your opportunity to join this global blue chip organisation as a senior procurement specialist overseeing utility (Water, Gas and Electricity) service agreements across various territories within their Asia Pacific region with contract spends up to and over 100 million Euros. This multi-national corporation operates in more than 100 countries supplying products to industries ranging from construction to agriculture. Their APAC region is characterised by a dynamic matrix structure, each territory having its own procurement teams as well as a regional team. You would fit into their regional team overseeing their utility service agreements and supplier relationship management.

Responsibilities

You will play a key role in developing business intelligence within the APAC utilities sector and applying this intelligence in the development of long term supply agreements for onsite steam, electricity, industrial gases, water and wastewater services supply. You will lead a virtual team of procurement colleagues within the Asia Pacific encouraging collaboration and leveraging the team's ability to ensure that the Category delivers agreed targets and service standards, on time and within budget. You will provide professional guidance to localised procurement colleagues in various countries driven by category characteristics and encouraging best practice processes throughout the region

You will play a key role in supplier relationship management, negotiating and maintaining relationships with suppliers across the region within a holistic approach to balance the need for cost savings, value creation, risk management and business continuity. Spends will exceed 100 Million Euros requiring strong strategic level relationship management and ensuring effective contracting strategies and risk management principles are applied.

You will develop and implement service / materials supply concepts and strategies across Asia Pacific region to achieve optimum commercial conditions and supply security, linked to business requirements and overall company strategy. A key success criteria will be your ability to integrate into and lead teams, a cohesive team based approach is the underpinning of this department's success

Requirements

You will need to hold a formal qualification in engineering, procurement or supply chain with strong experience within a utilities, engineering or chemicals sector at a group procurement level overseeing multiple territories. You will need to have handled large value (50 million Euro+) long term supply contracts and understand the key principles associated with contracting and risk management. Additional training within the commercial field would be an added benefit, a balance between technical and commercial acumen will be crucial as will be your ability to integrate into a team.

Remuneration

My client will cover relocation costs as well as provide a settling in allowance. The salary will be highly negotiable.
