Senior Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD)
Location: Dallas, TX (primarily local work)

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) to join our growing team in Dallas. This position is ideal for a skilled professional who has substantial experience designing communication and cabling systems, particularly for educational institutions. As a Senior RCDD, you will lead the design and integration of communication systems for large-scale projects, ensuring they meet the unique needs of our clients in the education sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design of communications and cabling systems for schools, focusing on new construction, refurbishing, and system upgrades
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate communication solutions into broader building designs
- Review and interpret architectural and engineering plans to develop efficient and compliant system designs
- Ensure all designs adhere to industry standards, codes, and regulations
- Manage and oversee projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and quality assurance
- Work closely with clients to understand project requirements and provide innovative communication solutions
- Mentor and guide junior RCDD designers
Qualifications:
- RCDD certification required
- 7+ years of experience in designing communication and cabling systems, with a strong focus on educational projects
- Expertise in systems integration, project management, and client interaction
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, and best practices for communication systems
- Ability to collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines to deliver integrated solutions
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with CAD and other design software
