I am looking for a Senior Structural OSS Engineer - Offshore wind to be based across the UK and join the offshore wind engineering team. You will be directly involved in the design of our current suite of ongoing projects, contributing to bids and developing broader technical solutions for the business.

My client have made a firm commitment to support the energy transition, and central to this is delivering on renewable energy generation. In order to facilitate this business level initiative, they're rapidly expanding their capabilities within the offshore wind sector and establishing an offshore wind Centre of Excellence. The newly formed offshore wind engineering team (part of the CoE) will bring experience and track record into our already highly skilled workforce and help deliver excellent value to our existing network of offshore wind developers, clients, partners and projects.
Their broader ambitions in the offshore renewable space extend from early-stage concept and feasibility through to delivering full EPC and EPCI packages.

Role Context:
This is a dynamic role that will require not only a firm technical understanding of structural design, but also a willingness to work differently.  As a fast-growing entity within the group, the offshore wind engineering team will be looking to deliver projects using innovative business models and utilising existing, and developing new, digital solutions and design automation. 
As Engineer (Level II), you will be directly involved in the design of our current suite of ongoing projects, contributing to bids and developing broader technical solutions for the business.
You’ll be supported by a strong group of engineers

You'll be:

• Contributing to structural packages for OSS wind projects (from feasibility, through to detailed desgin)
• Working is engineering delivery teams based in multiple countries/regions
• Interfacing with other packages on multi-disciplinary projects

 
You'll have:

• A degree and working towards chartered status in structural engineering (or equivalent)
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in offshore structure design
• Good understanding of structural engineering in principals and design standard requirement.
• Good knowledge of existing structural digital platforms (think StaadPro, SACS, Sesam, Aveva 3D, Abaqus, etc…)
• Preferably a good understanding of the offshore renewable industry and offshore substation
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
