Senior Subsea Tie-in, ROV & SIT Engineer

On behalf of a major EPC company we are looking for a Senior Subsea Tie-in, ROV & SIT Engineer to be based in Paris on a long term contract. 

To be considered you must have an EU passport and be willing to have some presence in the office in the Paris area. 

This will be a 5 days a week role, possible trips to Brazil, Asia & Norway. 


Responsibilities:

Write Subsea ROV intervention / Tie-in procedures within the following areas:
· ROV (Remote operated vehicle) operated subsea tie-in systems
· ROV Interventions tasks and access
· Flowline and umbilical interfaces with subsea structures
· Installations of Spools, Jumpers, and Flying Leads.
• Review and validate the ROV 3D Simulation access with the simulation engineers.
• Write (or review) the System Integration Test (SIT) procedure related to subsea ROV interventions.
• Participate or lead the testing operations (SIT) on site and ensure resulting findings and Corrective Actions Requests (CARs) are dealt with and resolved by project prior to offshore operations.
• Participate to offshore mission as project engineer or lead project engineer onboard vessel (to be consider one or two missions of 1 month per year).
• Ensure that relevant specifications, standards and procedures are complied with
• Participate to project engineering meetings as required and liaise with lead engineers as required to assist and follow-up on key issues.
• Participate to all constructibility reviews, HAZID sessions, operation readiness review, operation review, safety design review, design review, when related to subsea ROV interventions.
• Identify all ROV equipment and tooling required for the project. Then define the ROV set-up diagram and all ROV interface.
• Order, book and follow logistic of all ROV equipment and tooling required for project. Ensure equipment and tooling delivery for project on time.
• Liaise with the ROV center in Aberdeen for support and feed-back on ROV Intervention related issues

To succeed in this position; you should have the following skills & experience:

• Graduated with a Master of Engineering (ideally with specialization in Offshore Industry, Naval architecture) with a minimum of 4 years experience in an installation / operation role
• Good knowledge of offshore installation & ROV operations
• Good experience of the offshore operations, preferably in flexible, umbilical installations
• Good communication skills, capacity to work in a multi-cultural environment
• Ability to transmit your knowledge.
• Mobility to support the operations during the execution phase according to the project schedule
• Proficiency in English (spoken, written) is a must
