General Overview: Well established underground electrical utility contractor seeking an experienced project manager. Must have working knowledge of reading plans and specifications.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Develop and maintain project schedules.
- Scheduling equipment, tools and materials to the job site.
- Manage several projects concurrently at all times.
- Develop and maintain schedule of values for contract billings.
- Tracking and measuring completed projects for billing.
- Track contract scope changes, maintain project red-line drawings.
- Estimate and itemize change orders.
- Assist field crews in job site work lay out.
- Represent the Company with client’s as a point of contact.
- Onsite meetings with crews and customers to plan and coordinate construction activity.
- Scout job sites for utility locates and ability to start work.
- Review work in-place for quality control.
- Manage and schedule subcontractors.
- Approve project vendor invoices for payment.
Qualifications: Minimum of seven years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in an underground electrical utility construction environment. Must have solid communication skills and have a “whatever it takes” attitude. Good organization skills. Position requires having residence in the area of recruitment. Experience with civil capabilities including duct banks, shoring, boring, traffic control, etc.
