WRS Modern Slavery Statement 2026

This statement is made pursuant to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps that Worldwide Recruitment Solutions Ltd (“WRS”) has taken, and continues to take, to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place within our business or our supply chains.

Modern slavery encompasses slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, and human trafficking. WRS has a zero-tolerance approach to any form of modern slavery. WRS are committed to acting ethically, transparently, and with integrity in all business dealings and to implementing effective systems and controls to mitigate the risk of modern slavery within our operations and supply chain.

 

Our Business

WRS is a global workforce solutions business operating across multiple international jurisdictions. We support clients and contractors throughout the project lifecycle in sectors including Energy (Oil & Gas, Renewables), Offshore Marine, and IT.

Our activities include the recruitment, placement, and ongoing management of permanent and contract personnel, often across borders and in environments where labour-related risks may be elevated. We work with a network of international suppliers, partners, and service providers to deliver these services.

 

Risk Assessment and High-Risk Areas

WRS recognises that certain aspects of our business present a higher risk of modern slavery and human trafficking. These include:

Provision of Agency and Contract Labour

Potential risk: Individuals may be subjected to coercion, deception, or exploitation, including being placed into work through intermediaries without full autonomy.

Controls in place:

  • Robust identity verification and eligibility-to-work checks in relevant jurisdictions
  • Verification of qualifications, experience, and references
  • Validation of bank details to ensure individuals are paid directly
  • Ongoing contractor engagement and monitoring throughout assignments

 

Internationaland Offshore Operations

Potential risk: Increased exposure where labour is mobilised offshore, or engaged via third-party agents.

Controls in place:

  • Use of approved and vetted local partners only
  • Contractual obligations requiring compliance with anti-slavery laws
  • Enhanced scrutiny in higher-risk regions and sectors

 

Supply Chain and Third-Party Providers

  • Potential risk: Suppliers or subcontractors may fail to comply with applicable modern slavery legislation.

Supplier Due Diligence

WRS operates a preferred supplier framework. All suppliers are subject to due diligence prior to engagement, which may include:

  • Completion of a supplier appraisal questionnaire
  • Confirmation of compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and applicable local legislation
  • Open-source and reputational checks
  • Periodic reviews and, where appropriate, on-site audits.

Our contracts require suppliers to:

  • Take steps to identify and eradicate modern slavery within their operations
  • Hold their own suppliers to equivalent standards
  • Pay workers at least the applicable minimum or living wage in the relevant jurisdiction

WRS reserves the right to suspend or terminate supplier relationships where modern slavery risks are identified.

Training and Awareness

WRS provides training to relevant employees, particularly those involved in recruitment, procurement, and supplier management, to ensure they understand:
