Job Title: Rotating Supervisor (South)
Location: Buliisa, Uganda (rotational)
Contract Duration: 18 months+

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Rotating Supervisor to support a large onshore oil and gas construction project in Uganda. This role will be responsible for supervising and monitoring contractor and subcontractor activities within the assigned scope, ensuring work is executed in line with drawings, specifications, procedures, cost, schedule, and the highest HSE and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance and coordination within the discipline.
  • Act as the primary supervisor for all rotating equipment activities, ensuring alignment with construction schedules.
  • Monitor contractor progress, workforce productivity, and quality of works through regular site visits.
  • Prepare performance reports and recommend corrective actions to maintain productivity and schedules.
  • Liaise with area managers, superintendents, supervisors, and QA/QC personnel to ensure compliance with standards and effective management of interfaces.
  • Assist in resolving technical queries and ensure adherence to HSE objectives and environmental protection measures.
  • Maintain strong relationships with contractors, balancing flexibility with project objectives.
  • Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly project meetings, compiling necessary reports.
  • Act on behalf of the Industrial Area Superintendent (South) when required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in oil & gas and petrochemical construction projects, with a strong background in rotating equipment.
  • In-depth knowledge of international oil and gas codes, standards, and best practices.
  • Previous experience with major IOCs or EPC contractors is highly desirable.
  • Excellent understanding of HSE regulations and commitment to safety standards.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Must hold a valid medical certificate compliant with industry standards.
