Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Traveling Construction Superintendent with a strong background in hospitality and healthcare construction. The Superintendent will oversee multiple projects across different regions, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule adherence. This is a traveling role requiring frequent site visits and coordination with project teams nationwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage all on-site construction activities for multifamily and healthcare projects.
- Read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents to ensure accurate execution.
- Develop and enforce project schedules to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
- Oversee subcontractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with contracts, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Conduct pre-construction meetings, daily briefings, and safety meetings with the project team.
- Maintain daily logs, progress reports, and documentation of site activities.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, and approvals with city officials and third-party agencies.
- Identify potential risks, resolve issues proactively, and implement corrective actions.
- Travel regularly to project sites, providing on-the-ground leadership and support.
- Mentor and guide junior staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8–10 years of construction experience, with a strong background in hospitality and healthcare projects.
- Proven experience as a Superintendent on large-scale, complex projects.
- Knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Proficient with construction software such as Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, or equivalent.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively across project sites.
- OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
