Position Summary:
A Florida-based general contractor in Miami is seeking an experienced Healthcare Superintendent to lead construction activities on Healthcare Projects. This role is responsible for on-site execution, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, schedule, and compliance on active healthcare environments. The Superintendent serves as the primary field leader coordinating trades, subcontractors, and project teams. Ground-up experience would be great but healthcare renovation experience is still applicable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all on-site construction activities for South Florida / Miami healthcare projects
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA, ICRA, ACHA, and hospital safety protocols
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
- Maintain and drive project schedules and milestone completion
- Enforce quality control standards consistent with healthcare construction requirements
- Collaborate closely with project management, engineers, inspectors, and client representatives
- Identify and resolve field issues proactively
- Conduct daily site walks, safety meetings, inspections, and progress reporting
- Maintain accurate daily reports, RFIs, submittals, and change documentation
Qualifications:
- 7–10+ years of healthcare construction experience
- Proven Superintendent experience on hospital or active healthcare projects
- Strong working knowledge of ICRA, ACHA, infection control, and hospital protocols
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, and logistics plans
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence
Preferred Experience:
- Memorial Healthcare System or similar hospital system experience
- High-rise or complex hospital construction
- CMAR, Design-Build, or multi-phase healthcare projects
- Florida healthcare construction experience
