Senior Estimator Location: Houston, TX
About the Company Seeking a well-established contractor with a strong presence in the Texas market since 1988. Headquartered in Houston, with additional offices in San Antonio, Austin, and College Station, built a reputation for delivering high-quality projects supported by a mature and structured estimating program.
Position Overview MLN is seeking a Senior Estimator to play a key leadership role within its estimating team. This position is critical to supporting upcoming retirements and ensuring continuity, mentorship, and long-term leadership development within the group.
This individual will not only lead estimating efforts but also help evolve processes, strengthen relationships, and contribute to the company’s broader strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the estimating process for large-scale construction projects
- Provide mentorship and leadership to a team of estimators
- Ensure accuracy, quality control, and consistency across all estimates
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders during preconstruction
- Maintain and develop relationships with clients, contractors, and partners
- Support business development efforts and client engagement
- Identify and implement improvements in estimating processes and workflows
- Contribute to strategic initiatives and leadership development within the department
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Extensive experience in estimating within construction (MEP or GC environment)
- Strong background in healthcare / medical construction projects
- Experience with large, ground-up construction projects
- Deep understanding of:
- Mechanical systems
- Plumbing systems
- Preconstruction processes
- Proven leadership and mentorship experience
- Strong client-facing communication skills
Preferred
- Experience in data center projects
- Background with large MEP contractors or GC preconstruction teams
- Familiarity with:
- Trimble
- AutoBid Mechanical

- Salary: ~$125K+ (depending on experience)
