We are partnering with a well-established, highly respected electrical contractor seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Project Manager to lead large-scale, data center projects.
The Senior Electrical Project Manager will oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring successful delivery across budget, schedule, quality, and client expectations. This individual will work closely with senior leadership while managing clients, field teams, subcontractors, and vendors on highly technical electrical projects.
The ideal candidate will have experience leading large-scale electrical infrastructure projects, particularly within data centers, mission critical, or telecommunications environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with company, client, and project policies and procedures
- Lead jobsite safety initiatives and enforce company safety standards
- Develop estimates, review project proposals, and support project pursuit efforts
- Establish project schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and resource allocation
- Oversee project execution to ensure delivery aligns with design, budget, and schedule
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to support project execution
- Oversee procurement and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
- Manage project financials including billing, collections, forecasting, and cost control
- Conduct regular project site visits to monitor progress and resolve issues
- Assist leadership with future labor planning, material forecasting, and operational needs
- Develop project scopes, budgets, RFPs, and change management processes
- Provide regular reporting and financial updates to senior leadership
- Mentor junior team members and support team development
- Drive continuous improvement in project delivery, leadership, and operational performance
Qualifications Required:
- 10+ years of overall construction project management experience
- 5+ years of electrical project management experience on large-scale, complex infrastructure projects
- Strong background in Data Center, IT, Telecommunications, or Mission Critical electrical projects
- Experience with electrical distribution systems, structured cabling, and white space fit-out
- Experience with retrofits in live/operational facilities
- Strong understanding of critical facility systems and cross-functional coordination
- Strong computer and systems proficiency
- Ability to perform under deadlines and high-pressure environments
- Strong communication, leadership, scheduling, and delegation skills
- Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities
