Rotating Equipment Supervisor
Location: Mozambique (Rotational)
Duration: 12-Month Renewable Contract
Rotation: 28 Days On / 28 Days Off

We are recruiting for an experienced Rotating Equipment Supervisor to join a major LNG project in Mozambique. This is a hands-on, site-based role overseeing installation, alignment, and pre-commissioning readiness of critical rotating equipment. Reporting to the Rotating Lead, you will supervise all field activities related to rotating machinery—ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality installation through to mechanical completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise installation of pumps, compressors, turbines, generators, and mechanical packages
- Ensure correct alignment, grouting, leveling, and installation practices
- Monitor preservation, lubrication, and equipment handling
- Conduct quality inspections (alignment, torque, vibration, etc.)
- Manage punch lists, NCRs, and corrective actions
- Coordinate daily with civil, piping, E&I, QA/QC, and commissioning teams
- Support pre-commissioning activities (flushing, alignment checks, readiness reviews)
- Maintain strong HSE presence and enforce safe working practices
- Review and sign off technical and quality documentation
- Provide daily progress and issue reporting
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 10+ years’ experience in rotating equipment on major oil & gas or LNG projects
- Strong expertise in compressors, turbines, pumps, and generators
- Proven field supervision experience on large-scale construction sites
- Strong knowledge of installation, alignment, and commissioning readiness
- Excellent HSE and QA/QC mindset
- Fluent in English (Portuguese or French advantageous)
