Electrical Engineer – Dubai/Saudi Arabia
Location: Dubai, UAE (with frequent travel to Saudi Arabia)
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Hourly Rate Contract
Candidates already residing in UAE/with UAE VISA will be preferred.
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to support a major gas infrastructure development programme in the Middle East during the EPC execution phase. The programme is focused on expanding and modernising gas compression and processing facilities, helping increase network capacity, operational reliability, and energy efficiency across the region. This is a PMT-focused role and would suit candidates with strong PMC/PMT experience supporting large EPC projects. You will oversee electrical engineering activities across procurement, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning phases, ensuring compliance with project standards and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and oversee electrical engineering activities across EPC execution scopes
- Support power systems, MCCs, switchgear, transformers, generators, and distribution systems
- Review technical documentation, calculations, and specifications
- Ensure compliance with project and international electrical standards
- Support procurement activities including vendor evaluations and technical reviews
- Participate in FATs and site technical reviews
- Support electrical installation, testing, and energisation activities
- Review contractor technical submissions and change orders
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams
- Provide technical assurance throughout project execution
Candidate Profile
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering
- 10–15 years’ experience within oil & gas or petrochemical projects
- Previous PMC/PMT experience essential
- Strong EPC execution project experience
- Familiar with international standards including NEC, IEEE, ANSI, and IEC
- Experience with power systems, automation, DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems
- Knowledge of ETAP or similar software preferred
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Fluent in English
