Job Title: Remote Project Manager – Multifamily Construction Location: Remote (Must be based in Texas or willing to travel within Texas as needed)
Reports To: Project Executive / Director of Construction

Position Summary The Remote Project Manager is responsible for overseeing multifamily construction projects across Texas, managing all aspects from preconstruction through close?out. While this is a remote role, the PM must effectively coordinate field teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders across multiple job sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

This role requires strong communication, organization, and leadership skills, along with the ability to manage complex multifamily projects in a fast?paced, geographically distributed environment.

Key Responsibilities Project Management & Execution

  • Manage the full lifecycle of multifamily construction projects (garden?style, podium, wrap, or mid?rise).
  • Coordinate with Superintendents and field teams to ensure daily progress aligns with project schedule and milestones.
  • Develop, maintain, and track project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Lead weekly OAC (Owner?Architect?Contractor) meetings and provide consistent project reporting.

Financial Management

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, cost reports, and forecasts.
  • Oversee subcontractor buyout, contract administration, and payment approvals.
  • Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and procurement logs.
  • Ensure strong cost control and financial performance across assigned projects.

Remote Coordination & Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Utilize project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk, etc.) to manage documentation and communication.
  • Coordinate effectively with on?site Superintendents to resolve issues in real time.
  • Maintain clear and proactive communication despite remote work structure.

Risk, Quality & Compliance

  • Identify and proactively mitigate project risks related to schedule, budget, and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with Texas building codes, safety standards, and local jurisdiction requirements.
  • Support QA/QC processes and ensure project documentation is complete and accurate.

Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Preconstruction, Estimating, and Executive Leadership teams.
  • Provide guidance and support to Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers.
  • Foster strong relationships with subcontractors and partners across Texas markets.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5–10+ years of experience managing multifamily construction projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects remotely or across multiple job sites.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling (Primavera or MS Project), and cost control.
  • Experience with project management software (Procore preferred).
  • Ability to travel to Texas project sites as needed (typically 10–30%).

Preferred

  • Experience with Texas?based multifamily developments and permitting processes.
  • Exposure to wood?frame, podium, or mid?rise construction types.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • Experience working for a general contractor or developer?builder.
