Why is AHTS crewing specialised?
Anchor handling is among the most demanding work in the offshore fleet. Rig moves, deep-water mooring operations and towage require crews who have done it before: masters with documented anchor handling command experience, winch operators who understand wire and chain under load, and deck crews drilled in safe working on an open stern. We vet sea service and references carefully because on an AHTS, experience is a safety matter.
