Estimating Manager – Architectural Woodwork & Millwork
Location: Greater Pittsburgh Area

A high-performing, nationally recognized fabrication and installation company is seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to lead its casework and millwork estimating division in the Pittsburgh area. This position is ideal for an individual with deep experience in custom woodworking and architectural millwork who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the estimating team, assigning projects, balancing workloads, and maintaining production schedules
  • Evaluate incoming opportunities and ensure proposal backlog and pipeline tracking is accurate and up to date
  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project documentation for compliance with build standards
  • Oversee the development of detailed cost estimates and final bid proposals
  • Engage with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to clarify scope, pricing, and project execution strategies
  • Support business development through client-facing interactions and job site visits
  • Monitor estimator performance and provide mentorship to junior team members
  • Play a key role in winning work through relationship building and strategic proposal efforts

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience in estimating commercial casework, millwork, and architectural woodwork
  • Prior leadership experience managing a team of estimators
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, material take-offs, and installation techniques specific to millwork/casework
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and digitized blueprint software
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills—written and verbal
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to handle multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and specs with precision and accuracy
