A leading employee-owned mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced HVAC Project Manager to join their growing team in San Antonio, TX. Position Overview:
The HVAC Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing commercial HVAC projects from preconstruction through final completion. This includes managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client communication, while ensuring safety, quality, and profitability throughout the life of each project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage HVAC scopes for commercial projects typically ranging from $2M to $10M+
- Coordinate field operations, subcontractors, and internal project teams
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, submittals, RFIs, and change orders
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and project specifications
- Lead regular project meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in HVAC project management for commercial construction
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, construction practices, and mechanical codes
- Experience with healthcare, higher education, government, or large commercial projects is preferred
- Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
