Contract Project Engineer – Mechanical | Plaquemine, LA | ASAP Start
An established chemical manufacturer is seeking a Contract Project Engineer (Mechanical) for an onsite role in Plaquemine, LA. This is an immediate opportunity to support capital projects in a high-impact, fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute and support capital projects from design through startup
- Conduct stress analysis and pipe sizing calculations
- Prepare and review process design packages (PFDs, P&IDs, equipment sizing)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and deliver projects
- Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, and Safety teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in industrial or chemical plant environments
- Strong background in stress analysis, piping design, and process equipment
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards
- Available for an ASAP start and comfortable working 100% onsite
