Project Executive – Data Center Construction (Mechanical)

A leading national mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced Project Executive – Data Center Construction to lead one of the largest mission-critical projects in the United States. This role will oversee a $640M data center project currently underway in Monroe, Louisiana, with construction scheduled through 2029.
This is a high-visibility leadership position responsible for guiding large mechanical construction teams, ensuring safety, profitability, and schedule performance on a multi-year mission-critical infrastructure project.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading large-scale mechanical construction projects ($100M+), particularly in data centers, mission-critical facilities, or complex commercial mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical construction operations for a $640M mission-critical data center project
- Oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and financial performance
- Provide executive leadership to project managers, engineers, and field teams
- Serve as the primary client liaison and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
- Ensure safety, quality control, and operational excellence across all phases of construction
- Support preconstruction planning, procurement strategies, and project execution
- Implement best practices to drive efficiency, risk management, and profitability
- Mentor and develop project management teams across the project lifecycle
Qualifications
- 10+ years of mechanical construction management experience
- Experience leading large-scale construction projects exceeding $100M
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities
- Experience managing complex MEP or mechanical systems
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and executive-level communication
- Mission-critical or data center project experience preferred
- Background with large mechanical contractors or design-build projects strongly preferred
